UPDATE: ETS England Guidance for HE Institutions and Key Worker Status

UPDATE on ETS England Guidance for HE Institutions and Key Worker Status

The NYA have published a statement from England ETS to clarify guidance for HE Courses delivering professionally qualifying youth work courses.

This statement was agreed on Thursday 7th January and is now supported by formal recognition that ‘all youth workers currently holding or actively training for National Youth Agency (JNC) recognised qualifications are classified as key/critical workers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.’

A joint letter signed by Dianna Barran, Minister for Civil Society at DCMS, and Leigh Middleton, CEO at the National Youth Agency, is available via this link and confirms Key Worker recognition.

The Association will be holding a ‘Members Connect’ open discussion on Monday 11th January between 4-5pm where you are invited to connect with colleagues in interpreting and sharing practices in response to the Lockdown 3.0 and recent announcements.
