The University of Gloucestershire has been involved in an Erasmus Plus project entitled SymfoS (Symbols for Success). The project focuses on the use of physical symbols to assist young people, particularly those who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) to:
articulate their goals and direction they want to go in life
determine their “hidden resources”
be supported by a Peer Buddy system
The project has focused on:
Developing interventions within the context of symbol work
Creating a blended learning approach (online and face-to-face) to support workers to become SymfoS practitioners
the development of a SymfoS website devoted to the use symbol work with young people.
